Questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You map fields to cells in a dialog and the connection is done. The only thing you need is a spreadsheet that already works.
Will visitors be able to see my spreadsheet?
No. The sheet is read server-side. Visitors receive only the result values you chose to display — not the document, not its address, not the formulas behind it.
What happens if I edit the sheet later?
The calculator uses the sheet as it is at the moment somebody opens it, so an edit takes effect straight away. Nothing needs republishing.
Can I use an Excel spreadsheet instead?
Yes, via Google Sheets. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open it with Sheets — it converts the file and keeps your formulas. Connect the converted sheet as normal.
Is a spreadsheet required?
No. The built-in formula engine handles Excel-style calculations on its own. Connecting a sheet is for when the logic already lives in one and you would rather keep it there.
