MULTI-STEP FORMS

Multi-step forms that calculate as you go

Fourteen questions on one screen is a form people abandon. The same fourteen across four short steps, with the number updating as they go, is one they finish.

How it works

  1. 01
    Group the questions

Mark a row as a step and everything in it becomes its own screen. Reorder them by dragging.

  2. 02
    Add the logic

Show or hide anything based on earlier answers, so nobody is asked about a garage they said they do not have.

  3. 03
    Calculate throughout

Results update as the visitor moves, so they can see the figure changing rather than waiting for a total at the end.

  4. 04
Ask for details where it fits

Put lead capture at the step that suits the conversation — not always the last one.

What you get

Conditional questions

Rules decide what is shown. A commercial job asks different questions from a domestic one, in the same form, without building two.

The answer moves as they do

Every step can show the running figure. People finish a form they can see working.

Validation per step

Somebody cannot skip past a question that matters, and they are told which one at the moment it applies rather than after fourteen fields.

Works in a frame

The embed reports its height at every step, so a short first step does not leave a page-length gap under it on your site.

Questions

How many steps can a form have?

As many as the form needs. Any row can be marked as a step, and steps can be reordered by dragging.

Can questions depend on earlier answers?

Yes. Conditional rules can show or hide any element — a field, a whole row, a result — based on what has been answered so far.

Can I capture the lead before the last step?

Yes. Lead capture goes at whichever step you choose, and the results can be held back until it is completed.

Does the height adjust on my site?

Yes. The frame reports its height as the visitor moves through the steps, so the space it takes matches the step being shown.
