The short version
Try everything free for 30 days before paying anything. If you pay and the product does not work for you, ask within 14 days and we will refund it. Cancel whenever you like, from your account, without writing to anybody.
The rest of this page is that in more detail. There is nothing in the detail that contradicts it.
Try before you pay
Every account gets 30 days free, with the whole product and no card required. That is the real trial of whether Embed Sheets suits you, and it is deliberately long enough to build something and put it live.
Because nothing is charged during it, there is nothing to refund from it. If you decide against us, do nothing — the trial ends by itself and you are never billed.
Refunds on a first payment
If you choose a plan and it turns out not to work for you, write to us within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it in full.
You do not need a reason. If you have one, we would like to hear it — most of what we fix comes from somebody explaining what went wrong — but it is not a condition.
Renewals
Plans renew monthly, and we email a receipt each time.
A renewal you did not intend to pay for is refundable if you ask within 14 days of that charge and you have not used the service in that period. If you have been using it, the fair thing is that the month is paid for — so cancel instead and it will not renew again.
Cancelling never cuts you off early: you keep access to the end of the period you have already paid for.
When something is our fault
Refunds are not limited to 14 days when the problem is ours. If the service was unavailable for a meaningful stretch, or a defect stopped you using what you paid for, tell us and we will put it right — a refund, a credit, or whatever fits.
This applies whatever the calendar says. A policy that stops us from making good on our own failures would not be worth publishing.
What is not refunded
To be straightforward about the edges:
- Months already used, beyond the 14-day window above.
- Accounts closed by us for breaching the Terms of Service — for example, using the product to send unsolicited bulk email.
- Repeated buy-and-refund cycles on the same account.
- A calculator producing a figure you did not intend. The formula is yours, and we cannot check your arithmetic — though if the engine is at fault rather than the formula, that is a defect and the section above applies.
How to ask
Email support@embedsheets.com from the address on the account, and include:
- The order or receipt number from your FastSpring email, if you have it.
- Roughly what went wrong, if you want to tell us.
We reply within 2 business days. There is no form to fill in and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
How long it takes
Payments are handled by FastSpring, who are the merchant of record, so an approved refund is issued by them to the card or account you paid from.
- We approve or reply within 2 business days.
- FastSpring issues it within about 2 business days of that.
- Your bank then takes 5–10 business days to show it, which is their timing rather than ours.
You can also request a refund directly through the link on your FastSpring receipt. That reaches the same place.
Cancelling
Cancelling and refunding are different things, and cancelling is the one most people want.
Open your account in the builder and cancel there. You will not be billed again, and you keep everything until the period you have paid for runs out. After that your calculators are disabled rather than deleted — they stay in your account, and picking a plan again brings them straight back.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the UK, the EU or anywhere with equivalent consumer law, you have rights this policy cannot reduce — including, in many places, a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract.
Nothing here takes those away. Where your local law gives you more than this policy does, your local law wins.
